In an interstate matchup, Pennsylvania heavyweight Episcopal Academy hosted on of New York’s best, St. Anthony’s.

Going into the game, Episcopal stood in 13th in the DigitalSports National Lacrosse Rankings and the Friar’s ranked 5th.

In an intense first quarter, the Churchmen took a 5-3 lead.  After that things settled down and the two teams swapped goals back and forth.

Late in the fourth, the score was tied 10-10.  Enter Episcopal’s Eric Haab, who netted the late winner, boosting the Churchmen over St. Anthony’s.

In an all-around team performance, Episcopal’s strengths came from the fundamentals.  Christian Feliziani went 18-of-25 in the faceoff department.  Curtis Zappala finished with a game-high three goals and two assists.  Haab had two goals, along with Chris Friedman and Jake Martellucci.

Episcopal looks to keep the big-game wins going as the Churchmen next fact Haverford School, the nation’s top ranked team.
